So, I met this guy at a place where I worked, Xerox/Conduent, and he amazingly enough represented the Luis I’d written of years ago. Naturally, romantic dolt that I am, I tumbled for him. [I mean, I’m in love with all of my characters. Wouldn’t I be attracted to the embodiment of a character?]
Birthday: December 30 or 31st, 36 years old at the time of my background check. BIG FAN of the Philadelphia Eagles football team. Gambler.

Turns out he’s a grifter who does what all grifters do: use their charm and pretty face to coax money away from people. (He cleans up better than this picture, believe me.) One of his targets, unfortunately, was me. And I was out of a chunk of money I’d given in good faith for a Honda 4-Door.
I took him to Small Claim but was advised by the judge to get a lawyer. This was concerning, so I did a deep dive.
Turns out it was a BRIGHT RED FLAG!!!! He has an extensive criminal history and especially with respect to the buying or selling of vehicles. He takes the money but doesn’t release the title. (Like he did to me.) There’s a section of his background check below but keep one thing in mind:
NEVER LET HIM TOUCH YOUR MONEY!!!!
